calibre, nsw
Calibre is strategically located at the junction of the M4 and M7 motorways in Sydney's premier Eastern Creek industrial precinct. The 22Ha site is located less than an hour from the Sydney CBD, Port Botany Shipping Terminal and Sydney Airport, and mid-way between Melbourne and Brisbane.
Calibre is an exceptional distribution hub for the Eastern seaboard of Australia and benefits from direct access to B-Double approved roads and motorways.
The site incorporates five prime grade industrial facilities with a combined floor area of over 120,000sqm. Designed by the team at Mirvac Design for Mirvac Industrial, the site was conceived to maximise workplace wellbeing as well as planned for efficiency and logistical flow.
The complex brings architecture to the forefront, where quality is not compromised.
With a mandate of design excellence, Design Director Andrew La approached the challenge from first principles, getting the planning right and allowing the spaces to flow from their required function.
Clear and legible circulation and wayfinding was critical to the design and through creating the buildings for people as well as product, Calibre sets a new standard for industrial developments.
Materials are simple yet robust, exemplifying their industrial application. With warehousing given the same respect in design as administration, these buildings create an elegant typology in an often utilitarian building form.
The integration of landscaping, and respect for tenant presence and branding has been a critical factor in the commercial success of the development.
Residential amenity has been provided on 2 levels each with a different character and purpose.
