The Peninsula at Burswood is a residential development close to Perth's CBD along the banks of the Swan River, which has been masterplanned to provide a range of accommodation types plus substantial lifestyle amenities for the residents. Mirvac Design has carefully arranged the scale and massing of the buildings to create a vibrant community, and the variety of form brings diversity while visually appearing as an integrated place.
The Peninsula is a masterplanned community central to this precinct, and includes over 1100 dwellings in a mix of housing scale and size, including townhouses, courtyard houses and apartments in mid and high rise towers.
This new community will integrate with the surrounding development of Burswood, which includes Crown Perth and the new Perth Stadium, as well as complementary commercial and retail zones and forms the central focus of the precinct.
The buildings have been designed to maximise passive design principles, allowing cross ventilation and shaded sun access in the harsh climate. Modulation of the facades creates shading, as well as providing visual interest and scale moderation.
